What is it?

A Bun Above (Japanese title: いただきバーガー) is a deckbuilding roguelike where you stack burgers with real physics.

You run the burger joint. Every customer names a quota, and you build the burger to meet it, live, on the plate. Trouble is, ingredients obey physics. Aiming the drop and keeping the tower upright is on you. Neighbouring ingredients chain effects into each other — the taller and tidier your build, the bigger the score.

How a run goes

STEP 1

Aim the drop

Drop ingredients from your hand onto the plate. They roll, tilt and topple — where you put each one decides what the next one can land on.

Scoring: synergies between neighbouring ingredients stack up points

STEP 2

Sandwich for synergy

Cap it with the top bun to serve and get scored. Effects chain between neighbours and the score climbs. Miss the quota and it's game over on the spot.

STEP 3

The night food truck

Clear a customer and the food truck opens: buy crates and relics, toss the stock you don't need, and grow your deck for the final boss.
